Del Shores Foundation Writing Festival 2026

We’re thrilled to announce exciting news about our coming DEL SHORES FOUNDATION WRITERS FESTIVAL, MAY 8-10, 2026 in Pensacola, Florida, presented by The Red Ribbon Charitable Foundation, hosted at Pensacola Little Theatre with Stamped Film Festival.

ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, registration is required. Donations are suggested for those who can afford them, but we pride ourselves on making all of our programs accessible to all communities and all attendees!

Our special guest artist for the weekend is PETER PAIGE, the star of the game-changing QUEER AS FOLK, and co-creator of the long-running series THE FOSTERS and GOOD TROUBLE. Peter has directed three features, including SAY UNCLE, LEAVING BARSTOW, and THE THING ABOUT HARRY. He is the recipient of multiple GLAAD AWARDS, a TV ACADEMY HONORS, and a TCA Award, among others

Peter will sit down with Del for a freewheeling One-On-One interview as part of our Opening Night festivities on Friday, May 8, 7:30 p.m. Opening night will also include a screening of previous winner William Mettlach’s completed short film SMOKE BREAKS, and a reading of this year’s winning short, DO YOU TAKE THIS…? by Eric Gustafson.

Our Saturday Night Centerpiece, May 9, 7:30 p.m. is a reading of this year’s DSF Writers Search Best Play, ANIMALS ~or~ We Just Want Love… by Jameson L. Black.

Our Sunday Closing Matinee, May 10, 2:30 p.m. is a reading of this year’s DSF Writers Search Best Play, THE INVALID, by Robbie Robertson.
