Conversations with Mother is the heartwarming and hilarious new play by Matthew Lombardo, whose Who’s Holiday and High have been major successes for Triangle Players. The semi-autobiographical comedy traces the relationship between Italian matriarch Maria Collavechio (played by Sara Heifetz) and her gay son (Daniel Daigle) spanning the course of five decades. As they continue to test their lifelong bond, the play depicts the outrageously funny and sometimes completely infuriating dynamic between a conventional mother and her free-spirited son. RTP’s production marks the regional premiere after a successful off-Broadway run, and will be directed by Deejay Gray,
