Written by Mack Lawrence and directed by Maya Quetzali Gonzalez. Cosmo, Strider, and Phantom are chicken salad aficionados, childhood (more than?) friends, and gay ghost conjurors, but mostly they are all that each other’s got. Their relationships warp in the heat of a Texas garage in this part-seance, part-two-step, coming-of-age tale that asks: how do I see myself if all I see is you?
Playwright Mack Lawrence is an interdisciplinary performance artist and dancer from Austin, TX, now based in Brooklyn. Their work traverses foundationally queer stories with a distinctly southern voice, using humor and queer normalcy to challenge the way trans stories are told. Runtime is 90 minutes with no intermission. Tickets are $25.
