Enjoy an evening of the beautiful sounds from Movies, Musicals, and Mariachi. Experience a special performance of the world’s first LGBTQ+ mariachi belting out tunes from some of the most popular Broadway musicals, nostalgic movies, and mariachi serenades.

Mariachi Arco•Iris de Los Angeles, directed by Carlos Samaniego, is recognized as the world’s first LGBTQ+ mariachi ensemble. Performing its repertoire to resonate with the LGBTQ+ community, Mariachi Arco•Iris de Los Angeles also seeks to introduce the beauty of Mexican folk music to diverse audiences. In 2023, the ensemble received two awards for their contributions and advocacy for inclusivity through their fervent musical expressions. Subsequently, in 2024, they unveiled their third album to commemorate their decade-long existence. Moreover, this pioneering group made their PBS debut and was formally acknowledged as one of three city-wide honorees by the Los Angeles City Council at the historic Los Angeles City Hall during the 2024 Pride Month Kick-Off ceremony.
